Current Schools
College Board Schools are currently located in five school districts throughout the Northeast. A new College Board School, West Leadership Academy, is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2012 in Denver, Colorado.
New York City, NY
Our current New York City (NYC) College Board Schools are public schools being developed in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Consult the Frequently Asked Questions page for NYC schools for more information.
As of September 2011, there will be two College Board Schools in NYC.
Rochester, NY
Northeast College Preparatory and Northwest College Preparatory are Rochester public schools, grades 7-12, developed in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. These schools opened in September 2006 and are located at the Frederick Douglass campus. Vanguard Collegiate High School, developed in conjunction with the Rochester City School District, opened its doors in September 2010.

Buffalo, NY
Buffalo College Board Schools are Buffalo public schools, grades 5–12, developed in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. The first Buffalo College Board School, The Math, Science, & Technology Preparatory School opened in September 2006 at the Seneca Vocational campus. An additional Buffalo College Board School, International Preparatory School, opened in September 2007 at the Grover Cleveland campus.
Yonkers, NY
Yonkers Public Schools is a global school district of 25,022 students from more than 60 cultures, backgrounds, and nationalities. Yonkers Public Schools opened Palisade Preparatory School, a College Board School, in September 2008. This is part of Yonkers' total district reform plan to strengthen the four R's—rigor, relevance, resilience, and relationships—as the means to increase the four A's for every student-access, aspirations, achievement, and admission to college (R4A4).
Denver, CO
The first Denver College Board School, West Leadership Academy, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012.
